I can't compare them because I've never taken amphetamines, but I have taken Cylert (and just started taking it again). I like it: very little in the way of jitters, anorexia, insomnia (as long as I take it first thing in the morning!), mood swings (it's long lasting, you can take it once a day), cardiovascular stimulation, and other effects associated with amphetamine-like drugs. It helps quite a bit with my energy and ability to focus, as well.

In response to Toby: fenfluramine was taken off the market in the U.S. due to a number of cases of primary pulmonary hypertension in people taking it for weight loss. Don't know about other countries, but I'd avoid it in any case. It's also not much of a stimulant.
