Many non-M.D. counselors are very wary of medications, seeing everything as an "addiction". The amounts you're taking are miniscule, nowhere near addictive levels. Unless you have a substantial history of substance abuse (not just supervised use of legitimate medicines), I'd say you're counselor is way off the deep end. Often they see any medications as a threat to the psychological perspective, when in fact they are 2 sides of the same coin. I've done years of counseling, all kinds of good insight, but it just doesn't make a dent without medical help. I know!
