It makes me very uncomfortable to characterize the problem as being "social workers". Within each group of therapists there are better people. There's also the issue of "fit". If the match between you isn't working by all means find a new therapist.

If he/she is making you confused about yourself, if you just don't understand, and if you can't him/her to be clearer; or if he/she makes you feel guilty about having your problems or refusing to see that you are basically responsible for them; and, especially, if he/she leaves you feeling like you are up to no good without knowing about it and creates intense negative emotion over this....Well, been there, done that. My advice: Run! therapists like that--IF I got it right__do more harm than good.
