Various types and doses always resulted in conditions usually associated with stimulants (I even ran out of projects around the house). The tense, hyperactive, short tempered condition however did not allow me to get mental work done. A new doctor and review of my history indicated that I was also ADD without hyperactivity. Taking stimulants has helped more then anti-depressants however I often feel tied or sleepy. This tired and sleepy feeling seems to be mildly related to dosage levels and types of stimulant but not consistently. The less I take the less tired however the less work I get done. Large dosages of stimulants result in me falling asleep. By chance I also found out that non-drowsy antihistamines reduce the tired sleepy feelings. I seem to be in the right train station but can't find the right track.

James here....

It is not uncommon that ADD folks have paroxoxial
reactions to meds....ie meds do the opsite of what is expected. Some ADD'ers take a stim b4 bedtime to go to sleep.
