I wasted three years of melloncholy(sp.?) and a plitheria of bazarre side affects (don't forget 75 pounds), comprimising, because I thought it was better than being in a hospital.
James here...Why didn't you switch earler if it was so bad? I give a med a month and if there is some improvement another month to play with the dose. At that point I jump ship and try another rather than be less than well
A large majority of depressives moods are stablized by SSRI's or other meds that effect 5-HT. For those like me that depression is a nor-E
issue there are few meds that effect nor-E. (basically TCA's and Effexor) After 5 years and several TCA's I started getting breakthru depression and it was just luck that effexor came on the market ! There are a number of AD's that slow reuptake of nor-E in the pipeline. Happy day
for people like me.james
