I think saintjames probably is right about neurotransmitter depletion. Amphetamine primarily stimulates the release of norepinephrine (alertness, energy) and dopamine (euphoria, psychosis), but at high doses it affects serotonin (mood, psychosis) too and that might be some of what you experienced. I'm sure that the mj has something to do with it too.
It's sort of a catch - since weed is so restricted, there's not much research on it, so we don't really know what its risks are or how it interacts with other drugs. But just for the sake of knowing: do you take any medications? Including over-the-counter ones. Also, what happened when you were (umm, high?) on these two drugs: anything unusual? Or was it just really good?
Try and take care of yourself, rest, drink lots of fluids, eat foods high in tryptophan, etc., for a while, okay? Maybe take some Prozac or Effexor also. I kind of like your "pencil eraser" analogy - very descriptive. If the take-care-of-yourself approach isn't working after a few weeks, you probably should consider seeing a neurologist.
BTW with large quantities of meth you might want to be concerned about the cardiovascular effects. I believe Dexedrine is a touch safer in this regard, while cocaine is the worst. It's a particular area of concern for me because I had a hypertensive crisis that resulted in a pulmonary hemorrhage a couple years ago. All I could think when they showed me the x-ray was "what if it had been my brain?"
Oh yeah, don't mix meth with MAOIs, but you knew that. :-)
