nimodipine and augmentation with grapefruit

Has anyone had any experience with attempting to increase serum levels of nimodipine (Nimotop) by consuming grapefruit/juice. My tab is up to $1,584/month. My HMO is noticing and my pocket is hurting since my co-pay is 30%.
My pDoc gave his blessing to my experimentation with grapefruit as an alternative to raising the dose and the expense.
Does anyone have experience or information regarding our experiment? We've tried everything in and out of the books. My pDoc used to be considered very conservative...
My appointment with the CCB expert isn't until August. It would be nice to be able to pick his brain now.
