Has your daughter been TREATED for depression? Believe me, the depression is much more harmful to her than trich, and probably go hand-in-hand anyway. I have both conditions. My doctor said my meds would help the trich, but they really haven't. But I don't have a serious case of trich, so I can usually ignore my compulsions. Anyway, I URGE you to get your daughter at least evaluation by a psychiatrist. Medication could do wonders for her. Take it from someone who knows, and someone who waited MUCH too long and wasted MUCH too much of her life. Please!
