James here....Well, don't do what you just did ! If the address is valid you just told them your addy is active and many spammers "spoof" a fake address so replying to it is pointless.
Outlook Express 5.0 has a great feature that lets you highlight an addy and right click, you then select "block sender" with adds the addy to your personal database of blocked senders.
If you want to mail someone, don't use the user id
of the mail address, use "root" or 'webmaster" as the ID and then the host name. Like root@spammer's_host.com. Send your hate mail there. They will probably say the email addy is not valid (because it is spoffed) but you might catch a novice spammer in the tracks.james
