> Has anyone taken an antidepressant or combination that does not cause weight gain or anorgasmic results? I've taken Prozac @ 60mg dosage for 6 years and recently stopped taking it "cold turkey" because I realized my insomnia, anorgasmia, weight gain, snoring, bruxing, etc. were all related to it. I can deal with everything else, just not the weight gain and anorgasmia. Well it's been a month now and everything is almost normal with except the depression is back. I know I must go on something and SOON, just afraid of the side effects.

Jamie:
The answer is yes. But, it depends on your system, your brain. I was on a combination of Wellbutrin and Serzone which worked pretty well and had none of the side effects you mentioned. Remember, your doctor can add a drug to your Prozac regiment, something like Wellbutrin which can help with weight and orgasmic difficulties. There are other options. But, as things stand now in the psych. community, careful combinations of ADs offer the best hope for folks who don't respond to single agents. But, try another AD first.
Prozac is probably not for you. Waste no more time, tell your doctor your side-effect concerns, and try something else!
