I have recently been accepted to enter a trial study using TMS as a treatment for depression. The study is being performed at Beth Isreal Hospital in Boston, Ma.
From what I have read,(journals,web-sites)the procedure is extremely safe with no reported adverse reactions (slight headaches in some)and no memory loss. TMS has been studied for the treatment of depression for about 9 years. Although I generally feel confident in what I have read based on the studies to date, I am still unsure as to whether I should pursue such a new and experimental treatment. Anhedonia/fatigue has made me willing to try anything that might help alleviate the ongoing suffering. If anyone has any relevant information(positive or negative) regarding TMS they would like to share, I would greatly appreciate a response.-----------antrock------------------
