I figured that that way the responses could build on one another, and one could follow the buildup by starting with the first response and then going to the second, etc.
e.g. If this post were first post in the line of responses to your original logistical question, readers might be a bit puzzled as to exactly what was going on. But if they're in the order they were posted, you can follow them right along. You of course could do this if you had the newest response first, as well, but most readers would naturally read the first response under the original post first, unless they knew better.
This being said, I'm a philosopher, which ought to discount any attempt on my part to do anything practical. :)
