I have been taking Effexor XR (75mg - one a day) for about a year now. A few months ago, I started getting what felt like withdrawl symptoms about 5 hours before I could take my next dose. My depression also return with a vengence. My doctor put my on Trazadone (50mg - one a day) to help me sleep, because I was only getting about three hours (tops) of sleep a night. The "withdrawl" feeling stopped, and I enjoyed a good night's sleep (a bomb could go off, and I wouldn't hear it!). But guess what, it's a few months after I started taking the Trazodone, and the "withdrawl" symptoms are back. I am getting what I can only describe as the "shakes" - it feels like someone is giving me an electric shock to my insides. I'm starting to wonder if I am starting to build a tolerance to the drug(s), or worse, am addicted to them. I am going to see my doctor this week, but if anybody has had similar experiences, I'd like to know, so that I am prepared for when I go to my appoinment.
