jan- i don't know what the washout is on celexa, but when i went off, it took about 3 weeks (more or less) to stop having withdrawal effects. when i would have particularly bad withdrawal effects, i would take a celexa or 5-htp to lessen the icky-ness, making me feel somewhat normal. i have been off it a little over a month and i think that i am much happier, i have a sex drive, i remember what i did 10 minutes ago, and have started losing some of the weight that i put on. my heart is with you. i know how hard this part is. take care. dina
