> Have my Pdoc appt. next Tues. and am going to discuss the idea of switching from Wellbutrin to Vivactil. By then, it will be a full 8 wks of Wellbutrin(400mgs.per day), and no results, especially no energy yet! I would like to stay on the Serzone(225mgs/day), because I think I need the serotonin, but I am in such a fog of tiredness that I really don't think Wellbutrin is the thing, especially since I've had such atypical side effects(weight gain, no motivation). Any opinions would be appreciated. Also, I know that Vivactil is an activating tryciclic, but does anyone know where I could find documentation of it's effects, that I could take to my Psychiatrist to back up my request??Thanks very much!CarolAnn

what i do know is that vivactil is the only drug that really helped my add, when on it i was able to motivate myself and focous on a task. 20-30 mg worked best, at 40mg i became anxious, confused, dehydrated, had trouble with blurred vision. hope it helps you, it worked well for me until i became immune to it a coulpe of years down the road. george
