Ok, I have to admit that I didn't read your whole post, but after like the first half, I just have to comment. I strongly believe, coming from personal experience, and being a psych major, that the whole mental-health thing can go either or both ways. In my case, the disorder was almost definately caused by either genetics, seeing as to how everyone in my immediate family suffers, or from the fact that my whole home-life situation was not ideal. The medicine DID NOT cure it, it helped to decrease the symptoms of the disorder WHILE i was in therapy and working to cure it pyschologically. Some cases though, i think, are perhaps completely physical in origin, like maybe schizophrenia, ADD...it really depends on the person and their environment and background. So i would say that that guy is a little clueless, but that's just me, any other takers??
