> I would really appreciate if anyone would like share their experiences- good or bad- of using Doxepin/Sinequan or Limbitrol against Anxiety. I know that these meds are efficacious in blocking Panic, but I am particularly interested in their effect on overall nervousness, agitation, restlessness, tenseness, etc.
I don't know about the drugs you mentioned. But TCAs in general should do well for the conditions you are concerned with. I think the ones most likely to worsen tenseness, irritation, agitation, restlessness are the ones with the highest NE action. Specifically Desipramine or Protriptyline. The one I liked the best was Nortriptyline. It works well for all the symptoms you described, but it has mild side effects compared to other choices. Other TCAs good for your symptoms would be Anafranil, Imipramine, or Amitriptyline. But they will have harsher side effects. All things considered, I would put my vote in for Nortriptyline. JohnL
