wellbutrin insomnia

Posted by natural on January 15, 2000, at 11:26:22

hi,

i'm taking wellbutrin for my depression and am certainly struggling with the insomnia and "busy-mind" challenges that wellbutrin is so famous for. when i drop to a dosage i can sleep with, my depression is not adequately treated. taking trazadone at bedtime for the past week, but the insomnia is stil a major problem. i don't want to take more than the 100 mg of trazadone that i'm currently taking due to the lightheadedness and brain fog i am experiencing with it. i have a history of getting so frustrated with side effects, i take myself off meds only to have a severe depressive event. i've tried just about all there is and wellbutrin has been the most helpful with the least side effects. EXCEPT for the INSOMNIA. ideally, i just need to find something i can take at bedtime to knock me out. tried benadryl which knocked me out, but it also depressed my CNS which negated the benefits of the wellbutrin. i am also very sensitive to most medications, so a little for me tends to go a loooong way. anyone who has any suggestions to help me get a good night's sleep without paying too high a price (in terms of side effects as well as financially), i'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences.

cheers,
natural
