I felt like I had to drop a note saying thanks.
I have a very good friend who is bipolar, and while I
try to be supportive I am also occasionally a drain on
him because he has to explain so much to me about being
bipolar. Like how not being able to speak to me for periods
doesn't mean that he doesn't like me and such. And how
his weight gain isn't due to laziness. Being that I have
not had personal experience, it was hard to understand.I've been able to come here and read your posts, however,
and it's helped me to be more "clued in" and also more
accepting of him. I also have a helluva lot more respect
for what he has accomplished.I guess I just wanted you all to know that you are not only
directly helping people, but also indirectly helping
people who are trying to deal with these disorders. There
are zillions of books about what they are but not much
out there about what life is like with them.Thanks and good luck...
