gritslad - Hype! - SAM-e has some activity in mild depressive cases, but its overall efficacy in major depressive disorder leaves much to be desired. Also, since there is little or no quality control on these products, it will be difficult to get a standardized preparation from company to company or even bottle to bottle or even tablet to tablet. Save your money and exercise excess stress and depression away. If the depression is more insidious, see a doctor or therapist for proper, effective treatment. Good luck - Cam W.
