I think some studies have tried Zyprexa or Risperdal as alone or as adjuncts. Sorry, don't know what the outcome was. - Cam W.What is atypical depression? I have dysthymia and chronic fatigue. For the past 18 mos I have spent a fortune on trying all the ADs and they have all made me sleepy. My doc. has now given me the options of ECT or Lithium and ADs. ADs are very expensive here in Brazil and I cannot afford to spend more money and time on a trial and error process esp. as I didn't have even a partial response to any of them at maximum recommended dose. Is ECT going to help with the fatigue? I can put up with the dysthymia but not the chronic tiredness . It is the frustation with that, that leaves me feeling suicidal. My doc. and all the docs. I have got in touch with here are against stimulants . I've noticed that you don't seem so keen on them either. Is ECT my next best option and more importantly will it work? Best Wishes and thank you Jan
