Weird Adderall side effect

Posted by Gary on March 7, 2000, at 22:38:00

Hi,
I have this really weird side effect from Adderall. I started
it 2 weeks ago, but stopped taking the medicine after
a couple days on 40 mgs. because I started to feel
as though my legs were very heavy and as if it was
harder to move or lift them. Well, I started back on the Adderall
last week and, after 5 days on 20mgs., I went to 30 and I am
beginning to feel the leg thing again, but to a lesser
degree. Has anyone ever heard of such a side effect? I am not
on Adderall because of ADHD, but for derealization. It
is a dissociation disorder I have had for 4 years constantly
and I have tried more than a dozen other medicines with
no lessening of the depersonalization. Any appropriate comments
would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Gary

P.S.- does this sound like psychomotor retardation or
one of its "derivatives"?
