Here's some major babbling...
I started group therapy a little over a year ago...
this discussion is sort of reminding me of when
someone says something in group that maybe the other
folks don't like, or have a strong reaction to...
The therapist usually reminds us that there's we're
one big family, and there's room enough for everyone's
feelings. Also she reminds us that we all feel
similar things, but sometimes one person becomes
responsible for expressing them. For instance,
if one person says "gee, you know, I'm sick of
coming to group..I'm tired of all this" and the
other people in the group react or get hurt, the
therapist will say something like "Well maybe
Tom is expressing his boredom with group for all of
us...anyone else ever feel bored with group?" and
people will settle down and agree that, yes, sometimes
they get sick of group too.
I'm sure we've all temporarily felt unsatisfied
with this board. It happens. It dosen't mean
anything negative about the board, it has more to do with
how an individual is feeling and experiencing it
at that time...
In fact, I agree with everyone that this is the
most helpful, informative, caring forum around...
I don't know...but I also agreed with the guy who
posted that he was feeling a little disatisfied
with the board lately, and when he asked "is it
just me?", I wanted to let him know I felt that
way too. I think it's not so much the board, it's
where I'm at now...
