At the top of the main page, click on 'tips'. When you get to the tips page, look on the left hand side for Depression Central. Click on that.
I wish I could tell you exactly where to look in Depression Central, but I just don't remember. There's a lot there. However, there is section listing the best psychiatric hospitals in the country. There is also a list of the best psychiatrists in the country. I bet a few of them are in New York.
There's also a section at Depression Central called The Collected Writings of Dr Ivan Goldberg. It is chock full of tips on what does and doesn't work in his practice. Also, you will find exact questions to ask a potential psychiatrist when you are screening them. There are questions to ask which will determine their level of expertise. It's a good screening tool to be sure you're with someone real good before putting them in charge of your care.
