Zoloft and sleep disturbances

I was started on Zoloft last year. I immediately had problems with violent movements on the right side of my body during sleep. I was on Zoloft for about two months. I have now been off all medication since May of last year. The violent movements have continued and now appear to be getting worse. Anyone else with this problem?. I have not taken any anti-depressant medication since May of last year. I went to a neurologist, who prescribed anti-seizure medication, but this did not help and was discontinued. ANy insight would be appreciated.
