(Cam)Right now I am teaching myself pediatric
psychiatry and trying to find safe and effective medications for pervasive developmental disorder
//Oh man! What have you found out? I've got a mom in my parent's support group who is going to lose her mind if they can't find some help for her son. He's been diagnosed with extreme ADHD and some pervasive developmental problems. If I didn't know better, I'd say that he suffers from FAS/E or related disorders. We're wondering about Childhood Onset Bipolor Disorder or some form of Autism. This child has been on numerous medications and by the age of 3 had been on *Mellaril* for crying out loud! currently, he's on Risperdol, Clonadine, and Depakote and that's really not doin' the trick. He can be incredibly sweet and loving and then kick the sh*t out of his mother, bite his sister and throw tantrums, etc. He's a *Big* boy......seems to be constantly hungry and this was the case even when he was on Adderal. This poor child is a mess! Any thoughts?
