Due to a recent move to Costa Rica, I am no longer able to get Celexa (except for on the net and it is big bucks). Thus I weaned myself off and I have to say withdrawls were similar to past much more addictive substances. I experienced levels of anxiety that were worse than the symptoms that Celexa were originally treating. However, I now have my libido back which was smothered by the SSRI.
I feel like having to choose between libido and tranquility is like being asked which one of your children you must sacrifice to the Gods.
My experience with Celexa was very positive, sans the libidinal effects. I tried Wellbutrin before and felt like a nervous wreck 24 hours a day, only managing to sleep in chapters. I also took Buspar in concordance with Celexa but to be honest never felt anything good or bad from the Buspar.
My questions to the group (you seem to be more of a proactive caring group than a sampling of individuals just trying to get information) are as follows:
1. How long are withdrawals and how have people felt post Celexa?
2. Did the Buspar help in any way?
