In reply to Wellbutrin and Serzone, posted by MHK on April 3, 2000, at 18:28:50
> Has anybody had experience specifically combining Wellbutrin and Serzone? I've had good results with Wellbutrin in the past for major depression, but it didn't really do the trick for my long-term (decades)dysthymia. Recently, I read that the two make a good combination.

> Thanks so much for anything you can offer.I was on Serzone for 8 months, the last 3 months I was taking 600mg at night. As long as I was increasing my Serzone I did fine, but once I leveled out my depression symptoms returned. My Doctor prescribed Wellbutrin to augment the Serzone and I was so hopeful. I had a very bad reaction after taking just a few doses of Wellbutrin that I stopped taking it. I was extremely confused, hallucinated and would hear weird noises along with my arms being numb and having a sensation of being hot and cold at the same time.
2 months ago I switched from Serzone to Zoloft and I starting to feel fantastic!!! I do know that my experience is a unique one and does in no way mirror or mimic yours or anyone elses experience. I too consulted this board with same question as yours - Has anyone else been on this combination. I got a reply from either John L or Cam who indicated that this drug combo is not common at all, but makes absolute sense that these 2 drugs would compliment each other.
Sorry this is so long. I wish you well and let us know how this all goes for you!! Take care!!
