Meesha - Many of the SSRIs (eg Paxil and Zoloft) can cause urinary frequency, so I suppose Celexa would not be much different. Good to rule out a UTI first. The problem with you women is that you have a short ureter (not much muscle), so it is harder for you to hold your dribbles when they occur. When are you taking the Celexa: a.m. or p.m.? If taking it at night and it doesn't cause too much drowsiness, try taking it in the morning. This may decrease the frequency of night time urination.
How long have you been taking Celexa? If less than 4 to 6 weeks, this side effect still may subside with time.
Talk to your doctor about this. There are some anticholinergics that can decrease this side effect, but they have side effects of their own (esp. dry mouth and membranes, sensitivity to the sun, and drowsiness).
Hope this helps a bit. - Cam W.
