Wow!!! You don't know how amazing it was that someone thought to ask! :o)
Anyway.. he was fantastic.. I spent just over and hour with him (was very dissapointed to have no leather couch!! j/k) he started with my whole history, and I got pretty confused, but eh was very patient, and talked me through each bit. When we got to the past few months, when I found it very hard to explain myself, he was very understanding, and even offered his thoughts, which were always spot on.
Towards the end, he asked if I ever relaxed.. I said I wasn't sure, and he said he noticed I'd picked my fingers, clenched my jaw and frowned the whole time I was in there!!The upshot is, he says I have three things to deal with.. stress, anxiety and depression. he is arranging for some stress counselling & some stress management classes as starting point.
he also changed my drugs (he said I should never have been presribed remeron, and he personally dislikes paxil!). My new meds are Efexor -75mg am, and 75mg pm, and something called Fluanxol (searched on here for it but can't find it)-0.5mg am and 0.5mg pm.I already feel more positive which is great!!!
Thanks for caring.. it really means alot
Nikki xx
