less Celexa - less depression and tension

Posted by Fred Potter on April 13, 2000, at 21:23:47

I've been on Celexa for months, right up to 60mg. It wore off and I had very bad fatigue, sleepiness, both day and night. I also felt very tense like two opposing forces were at it inside me, making me stridulate and open and close my fists, overbreathe, sigh, yawn - you get the picture.

My pdoc said this could be overstimulation caused by excess serotonin in the blood (not brain). He gave me a mental cosh called Periactin, which is an antihistamine to counteract this. However it made me worse.

I decided to cut down Celexa gradually, and now on 20 mg I feel much better. Sometimes I think tweaking the dose either way can help, but that's probably nonsense. Hey this Provigil sounds good stuff. Must try and get some. I hope it doesn't make me whistle more than I do though or this place will be like a bloody aviary
Lots of love everyone
Fred
