This trial lasted 2 months and the dosage went from 37.5 to the 150mg extended. I never was able to get any return of my enthusiasm for life. I didn't leave the house for days at a time. I was not sad, it just was a lethargy and lack of zest for life. I am now, on the advise of my doctor, about to begin on Prozac again. Has anyone had the side effect of hair loss on Prozac?

Hi:

I have heard some VERY rare stories of hair loss with Zoloft, but I most CERTAINLEY can relate to the "depersonalization" and lack of "zest" Effexor XR carries in life. IF Prozac DID THE trick before...GO for it..and run with it. As a little bit of extra help, you might want to ask your doc about any local support groups you can go to once in awhile for depressed persons. I have been on a.d's for about 7 years, but am just going that route now. BEST of luck...and hang in there...it's all we can do!

Best..

William
