Thanks for the responses. I feel so much better since stopping the Remeron and returning to the Serzone I had been on (half dose for now), that I really think Remeron is not for me. I know one should usually take 2 to 6 weeks to really judge the effects of an a/d, but this felt so completely wrong - and looking back with a couple of days perspective I really think I was right out of my skull for two or three days, and getting worse.
My reasons for switching off the Serzone in the first place were not that strong - some suspicion of its contributing to sexual problems, a bit of a lessening of its sleep-regulating effect, and (to be honest) just a desire to try something different after 4 or 5 years! (I guess I got to try something different, all right!).
