First, I wonder what benefit you received from the nefazodone. (I used it for 12 weeks with no benefit, but many side effects including anxiety, irritability, etc.) Second, I'd like to know what symptoms the psychiatrist was aiming at by your using it, and how happy s/he was with the progress.
If you are mostly depressed, I'd talk to your psychiatrist about going off nefazodone cold (I did from 450 mg/day and felt physically better as my body got rid of it), staying with the buspirone dose, and adding in one of the chemically cleaner wide-spectrum ADs, like venlafaxine.
