ICQ (I seek you) is like the Grandaddy of all Instant Messaging programs. It not only allows for real time communication, but you can accept and transfer files (data, mp3s, send greeting cards, etc.). Very cool program. You can even give authority to people to be able to access your computer, but I REALLY wouldn't suggest that. My nephew has this access level on mine, but he is a Network Admin and I trust him explicity.
