> well, folks, here we go-
> over the years i've been on a sizeable pile of a-d's-this last one being serzone. unlike the years past, however, i bring to this grand experiment-which is a try at being drug-free-a wealth of experiences gleaned from counseling that leave me with a clearer understanding of just how i am who i am than i've ever even dreamed of before. the pharmacological facts are these:
> after being on varying doses of serzone for over a year, and ahving fairly good luck with it, my doctor and i agree that it has not substantially helped my lifelong sleep problem which was why i started taking it in the first place. i took the entire dosage at bedtime. when i tried dosing earlier in the evening so as to maximize it's sedation effects, i ended up with BAAAAD ringing-in-the-ear problems. i'm a musician, so i already have an orchestra goin on in there 24/7. the added racket caused by the sz was unbearable. we have decided to take me off of it and see how i do. we already know that i can't tolerate the higher doses so that as well is out. i maybe wearing my underwear outside of my clothes, but i think i'll be fine without it.
> i've also been trying out seroquel, with limited success. it has its benefits, but being stoned all day just don't work, so it's on its way out too. i've been on it long enough for this effect to have subsided, but it hasn't. i may be depending on you all a LOT should i turn out to be wrong. i look forward to being drug-free.
> all i'll be taking is clonipin for sleep-i don't like the idea but the stuff usually works alright. wish me luck!!
