Thanks for the info Chris. I don't really have the racing thoughts thing. I mostly do my cutting in response to a need for seeing myself punished for the things I do sometimes, like hurt other peoples feelings. I don't really understand the psychotic episodes stuff, it doesn't seem to apply to me in the definition I've read. But I will consider talking to my doc about the meds you mentioned. Thanks for the response.

> Have you considered one of the newer antipsychotics. Maybe something like Zyprexa or Risperidal could help with the rage and cutting. They really can calm the way your mind processes disturbing thoughts. I know in my case Zyprexa helped remove obsessive thoughts of suicide and death. I never cut but would go out and take chances with my life that I wouldn't normally do. The meds really evened out my thinking patterns and removed the impulsive destructive thoughts. One of these may be worth a try. It sounds like your mind is running too fast to let the rational side catch up with you. See if your doc will give one a try.
