> Does anyone out there take Celexa for Obsessiveness. I've always been slightly obsessive in my thinking but since February, when I went into anxious depression and started taking Celexa, it seems to have gotten a lot more intense. And I tend to have obsessive thoughts about the most upsetting and disturbing things whereas before I would obsess about everyday mundane things. The obsessive thoughts now are about things that are much more unrealistic and the small little piece of rational me knows that I'm being ridiculous. But I can't seem to stop or control it. Any suggestions would be helpful.
> RobynI have enough OCD symptoms that one of my doctors dx'ed me with it and I tried Luvox, but it made me anxious and insomniac. I have found that my OCD characteristics wax and wane with my deopressive symptoms, but every antidepressant I've ever tried has made me anxious and the extra anxiety has made the problem worse. When I was finally taken off of antidepressants entirely for the first time in years I found that I experienced mild antidepressant, or at least mood-brightening effects from the Neurontin that I was already taking, and even though my depression was still predominately intact I experienced a virtual halt in my OCD behaviors.
