tricia,
I didn't feel drugged up on zoloft, just a sort of mental fuzziness & short term memory gap. Also had an intention tremor. lots of flatus /gas. It did make me agitated for a couole of hrs after taking it so I took it in the AM.
I did not even relize about the fuzziness until after switching to the celexa & it disappeared. On the celexa. I feel "normal", like ME, nothing special, not up, not down. Jokes are funny, sad movies are sad.
The celexa, I take @ 6PM, I usually feel 'different' for about 2 hrs, but don't have a good description, maybe sluggish & keyed up just a bit, an odd combination ? anyway 6PM workes better that bedtime or early AM.
Still have the tremor & it is controlled pretty well with a beta blocker, pindolol 10mg BID.
recently added buspar BID & that has disrupted my sleep a bit, wake up early.
So I am on 5 pills a day too, buspar & pindolol in AM & at 6PM + the celexa. first thing in the morning & then 6PM which is pretty easy to remember. Also the pindolol starts to wear off a bit by 6PM so I begin to notice a little jittery shakey feeling. So nothing special, 6 PM is always med time.
Another part is that, I know that the meds helped me. I don't have any notion that they are bad or that I don't really need them or that I am dependent. They are a nusiance, but a minor one in exchange for the benefits.
Perhaps part of the forgetting is a hidden desire to not have to take the meds. If you have a therapist, maybe you could discuss the subject with them ?
Just some of my thoughts !
