Jason - Here in Alberta, students and others with low income (based on need) can get meds (& dental) through Blue Cross. You will have to pay 30% to a maximum of $25.00 per prescription (up to 100 days supply). If you can get your doc to write a 3 month supply, the price is not that bad.
I'll take a guess that you are in New Brunswick. I don't know if your Blue Cross has a similar deal, but it could be looking into. I believe the program is funded by the Alberta government.
You could also phone your legislature (health & welfare) and ask if there are any government programs that help those with high drug costs and lower incomes.
