>Eddie,
I don't think you have ADD. It is hard for you to understand even, what it is like to have ADD. Our society, with it endless distractions, tends to create ADD like symptoms in everbody.
I would dare to suggest that you are in some danger of abusing Amphetamines. You seem to be somewhat obsessed with the subject of stimulants. If you want to succeed as a doctor, you will definitely need to discipline yourself to avoid illegal useage of what will be availiable to you. You didn't state that you had prescription trials of these meds.
Be careful!
jojo, I have personally tried Ritalin, Dex, and Adderall, in adjunct w/ antidepressant. With Ritalin the duration is only about 45min. to 1 1/2 hours depending on the day and it is pretty gentle on my system and mood. sometimes not and i crave more. With Dexedrine the effects are somewhat time released throughout the day which I like but it's more harsh on my system---more headaches, dry mouth,etc....but in a low dose like 10mg or possibly 15 for some people, it might work like a charm. Aderall is pretty much like Dexedrine and find taking 10mg either once or twice a day suits me best without irritability or nausea. Taking 20mg of either Dex or Add usually creates a bad mood swing in me when it wears off and I crave more.
