Hi Carol Ann,
Nice to hear from you and nice to be back for awhile. Though my goal is spend less time here and more time doing and dealing with the things off-line that I need to. This is a support system, while I am spending too much time on-line and a good one, though not sufficient. It helps lots at times though, to read the posts and to do some of my own on-line pondering and attempting to make sense of it all...
I've tried Siberian Ginsing in the past and not sure whether it helped or not as I was doing a variety of things and still am expermenting. Often hard to sort the wheat from the chaff.
I had never heard of the P5P until my naturopath mentioned it. Just picked up some on Sunday and am trying it out along with Sisu B-Stress Select that includes 50 mgs. Siberian ginsing and some others B combos which I gather are supposed to balance out the P5P though I need to talk more with my naturopath as the combo I chose was slightly different from what he recommended.
Also trying some Sisu Ginsing Plus which has 100 mgs. Siberian Ginsing plus 300 mgs. Ashwaganda which is I believe a "tonifer" like S.G. and supposed to help with energy and systemic balance.
Been a stressful past few days and hard to say what the impact is of these and/or some of the unanticpated personal challenges I've been dealing with. Whatever the case I'm feeling pretty buzzed right now. Been up since 5 or so and also had a couple of cups of coffee but I think the above mix plus some ginsing tea is having a combined stimulatory effect, overall.
The challenge with herbal formulations is to ensure that your supplier is a good one. As for placeboe effect I think there is always that but these mixes can be helpful too. Just have to make sure you get a good one, and try it out for sufficient time. Like everything milage varies with the person, timing and circumstances.
Hope this is finding you well.
Sante!
