Hey Shar -

Thanks, I appreciate you thinking of me, that's very thoughtful of you. I appreciate the reply, but please don't worry, I don't feel ignored - I'm aware it's a subject/med that there hasn't been a lot of conversation about... at least not that I've noticed in the time i've been here (in & out/off & on, roughly since the new year...)

It's just something I've finally gotten around to trying, and thought I'd poll the gang for any other feedback.

For what it's worth, I've found it to be pretty effective, although I will say I've only given it a short trial.

The central med I'm working with is adrafinil (for fatigure/dysthymia/anhedonia/etc).... And although I've found it to be very helpful, I encountered some sexual dysfunction as a side effect (no more-so than I did w/effexor or prozac).

I found the bromocriptine to counter the negative effects pretty effectively - but like I said, it's only been a short trial (~ a week or so), so I don't have good info on dose, etc.

I'm planning to try amisulpride (again) & sulpiride, as other options, since they're also dopamine agonists. (it's occured to me that the first time I tried amisulpride, was after prozac - so given prozac's very long half-life, it may have impacted my experience w/amisulpride - in spite of the week wash-out period)

For what it's worth, however, if others are interested, I think bromocriptine may be worth exploring... I had results rather quickly - less than a week, w/between 1 & 2 tabs (2.5mg/ea) a day... Although I think a bit of sleepiness may also be attributable to the bromo (had the same experience w/amisulpride the first time).

I haven't been too thorough with my tests as of yet - just a "quick-hit" check... (kind of along the lines of JohnL/Dr. Jensen's theory that if it doesn't work quickly, it's may not be the best available option)...

Sorry if this is a bit rambling - been out to the bars this evening, but wanted to reply because I'll be out of town/away from the web for a week or so as of tomorrow.... Hope everyone has a good week. Many, many weeks, for that matter... michael
