Re: withdrawal reaction -- Please help

In reply to Celexa - secondary withdrawal reaction, posted by Laurie_from_MA on August 18, 2000, at 17:26:36

Bottom LINE: I need to be able to work again! Is there anything that can counter this? Should I go back on Celexa and wean a lot slower?

> Has anyone experience with a secondary withdrawal reaction to an anti-depressive drug (SSRI), in my case, Celexa?
> I went off of Celexa (the proper way) about 5 weeks ago. A few days after I stopped, I got a migraine headache (I thought) which was the start of a major secondary reaction to no longer being on Celexa. My doc says this is very rare; guarantees that some day I'll be back to feeling normal; and has no offers of anyway to make it better.
> While overall I have made great improvement, I am still only at the 60% level and cannot really work. The major symptoms include: major sensitivity to light, sounds, movement; inability to think clearly; body aches; dizziness at times; inability to control my emotions, and need for sleep. All these symptoms are reducing a bit at a time, but after four weeks, enough is enough.
> Any help would be appreciated.
