Dear Kate
Before Zoloft I used to get so cranky at people. I used to fight with family members and would convince myself that they deserved it. The tiniest issues would set me off. I am surprised that anyone in my family speaks to me these days. ALthough they see a much different person now. They love seeing me, they love doing things with me. I nearly also lost some good friends during my pre-Zoloft days. I would find any reason to get the shits with something they did.

The thing for me though is that ZOloft is blocking out my problems so I can function on a day to day basis. I need to address these problems as I feel that I have blamed my depression for all my hassles. The problems still exist and all Zoloft has done has made me not think of them as much.

Long term use of such a pill has started to attract interest. I have heard that it can damage brain wiring.

I will miss many of the benefits of Zoloft but I will try really hard to live without it. If I find I am becoming like I used to be, I might try something like Serzone again - however, Serzone is not an SSI pill and therefore is less effective for my problem (which I believe is clinical depression).

Something else. Since I have been on Zoloft I never get sad or cry - I sometimes miss what it feels like to be down (as those feelings are part of human emotiions).

Anyway, all I can do is wait and see. It's good to know there are people out there who have expereinced similar problems. I'd really like to know how things are for you now.

Best wishes, AW
