I Appreciate the response from both James and John L. John, is this great doctor anywhere in the tri-state area? I've been looking for the right combo for years. Seems that most of the med. that I try are usually my own ideas. Is it best to try a pharmacologist?

That is, an SSRI+MAOI combination should not be tried unless all other things like stimulants, TCAs, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, thyroid, etc have been tried. As a matter of fact, I know one doctor who is so successful at finding the right medication for patients that MAOIs are very rarely resorted to in his practice, not to mention MAOI+SSRI which are never needed. Granted back in the old days MAOIs were combined with TCAs, but with SSRIs it's a totally different game. And not a very safe one at all.
