> Thanks for responding. It's given me something to think about. It's expensive to buy lab grade GHB I mean. It says in the literature that the dopamine surge after the first effect has worn off makes you not want to keep dosing. Not necessarily true obviously
For me the dopamine surge made me more anxious and irritable, which is easily fought off by taking more GHB. When this second high wears off you are even more anxious and irritable, so you take a larger hit of GHB to counteract it and the process continues until you start getting manic, aggresive, and if your still high the reduction in judgement doesn't help your decision making processes. I caught myself lashing out at coworkers and friends for tiny annoyances, and making mountains out of molehills. The next day I'd have to face the consequences of my actions.
I think the biggest problem with GHB is the tendency to redose. The high itself doesn't last very long which makes it a crappy 1 hit recreation drug (if that makes any sense). The short duration makes it more addictive, IMHO.
As far as lab grade GHB is concerned, one can easily by lab grade NaOH at any chemistry shop. 99.9% pure butyrolactone is somewhat easy to procure over the internet. Most people with a little chemistry background can pull off making it, and getting it to the correct PH is no problem. I soon found ingesting the lactone straight up worked just as well with no additional side effects other than taste. Soon I just had to buy the lactone, and it was as legal as water to have on my person. I brought it everywhere, work, school, etc in a little plastic 1 ounce bottle that would contain about 5-7 hits for the entire day. If you go this route, you will undoubtably end up with an addiction. It is just too easy.
