I know it's the oldest story about weight loss but it is true. You need to be committed to excersize and a healthy diet. I put on at least 40 pounds from the time I started on Zyprexa. This year I have joined a gym and go almost daily to get some sort of excersize. It doesn't matter if it's just a 20 minute walk.
I don't follow an exact diet but do watch that I keep my calories around 1500-2000. Look at some of the government sites for reccommendations from the food pyramid.
The process of losing it is long and slow. I wish I could have taken it off as fast as I put it on. My X-Large shirts are fitting more loosely and I hope that by spring I can fit into some new Large shirts.
I still take wellbutrin, Nortriptyline and Zyprexa so I do know that you can stay on AD's and lose weight - just be patient and try to get active again. I know it's a tough start but once it is part of your schedule you won't find it as difficult.
Best of Luck,
Chris
