Also if AOLīs IM is like ICQ there can be a webpage with your data. You have to choose not to display personal information or get listed for contacts.
More, if AOL IM is like ICQ consider setting it for not to show your IP addess to prevent exploits of your computer.
Why do you think the messages come from this forum visitorīs?. Because you post your AOL email?. You do not have to post your email with your message. If you want to post an email it could be better to get an alternate email (using a nickname) at yahoo.com or similar and read it as POP or forward mail to your original address (if you do not want to read from web).
