Fast heart rate, if due to Effexor, will bypass
at some point. Remember that stress increases
heart rate, and when you stop the antidepressant
you may get more stressed because of the lacking
AD effect, withdrawal effects and just because
you are worried about your conditions.

A small dose of a beta blocker (say, atenolol
25-50mg) helps with the palpitations and the
heart rate.

I'm in a similar kind of situation... Zoloft 50mg
and reboxetine 4mg, palpitations etc. Yesterday
I took a beta blocker, now I wonder what I should
do with the ADs. (Yes I'll see the doc next week.)
